.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 156 AM EDT Fri Jun 6 2025
Saturated soil from recent rainfall along weak boundary layer
winds will promote fog developing through the remainder of the
overnight and early morning hours. Meanwhile, a weak frontal
boundary will linger across the region through today, bringing
isolated showers and thunderstorms, particularly east of I-69
and south of US-24. High temperatures will remain near normal,
in the mid to upper 70s, with overnight lows in the mid 50s to
around 60. By Saturday, high pressure will build in, leading to
drier conditions and more sunshine, with temps rising into the
upper 70s to low 80s.
On Sunday, we may see a resurgence of scattered to numerous
showers and storms as a surface low traverses through the
Midwest. In fact, it`s possible that blended guidance is lagging
behind in PoPs, as recent deterministic runs look rather wet
Saturday night through Sunday. However, it`s worth noting
these operational runs are on the wetter side of their ensemble
envelope. Temperatures will run near or just below average for
this time of year through Tuesday.
By midweek, a more pronounced warming trend is expected with
the return to low/mid 80s. Drier conditions, at least
temporarily, will prevail before signals point back towards
higher rain chances in time for next weekend.

.AVIATION /12Z TAFS THROUGH 12Z SATURDAY/...
Issued at 640 AM EDT Fri Jun 6 2025
A distinct upper level short wave tracking across far NE Indiana
and NW Ohio early this morning has been associated with some
pockets of light rain. Deeper moisture profiles have now shifted
east of KFWA into Ohio, which has resulted in this forcing
leading to mainly pockets of drizzle with some accompanying
vsbys less than 2 miles. The potential of LIFR conditions will
persist at KFWA through 14 or 15Z with a gradual improvement to
MVFR this afternoon as some weak diurnal mixing develops. Some
low coverage isolated showers may develop again this afternoon
across northeast but limited moisture depths/instability
precludes TAF mention at this time. KSBN has remained on the
northern fringe of MVFR cigs this morning, and would expect
potential of MVFR conditions at KSBN through mid to late morning
before improvement. For tonight, sfc anticyclone across the
Great Lakes will make some southeast progression as short wave
ridging builds across the southern Great Lakes. If low clouds
are able to scatter during the overnight hours, the potential
does exist for some patchy dense fog to develop on southern
periphery of this anticyclone across far northeast Indiana.
